Who We Serve
Since 2004, we have been serving children in Greenville, SC and the Upstate through clinic-based and community-based pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. We support communication, feeding, sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, coordination, mobility, and independence in daily routines at home, school, and in the community.
Why Word Play?
Our Pediatric Therapy Services

SPEECH THERAPY
Speech Therapy helps children strengthen communication skills, including articulation, language development, feeding support, and social communication. Our licensed speech-language pathologists use play-based methods to make progress fun and meaningful for kids and families.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy supports children in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and participation in daily routines, such as handwriting, dressing, feeding skills, and classroom readiness when relevant.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy focuses on improving strength, coordination, balance, and mobility, supporting gross motor skills like stairs, jumping, running, endurance, and safe movement for play and school.

Now Offering MAP Test Score Insight Reports
When your child brings home MAP Growth results from school, we can help you understand what they mean. In addition to therapy services, we offer MAP Growth Parent Insight Reports. We translate your child's reading and math scores into clear next steps including Lexile-aligned book recommendations, targeted activities based on your child's strengths and needs, and practical home routines that fit real life. This is an educational interpretation service (not therapy) available for direct purchase via our website.

Kinley's Mom
Word Play has made therapy feel fun and effective. Our child is more independent and shows less frustration. Best of all, we learned fun ways to help him at home.
Aiden's Mom
Word Play takes the time to explain what’s happening, why it matters, and how we can support our child at home. Therapy never feels rushed, and the team genuinely cares about my child’s success.
Emily's Mom
We moved to Greenville about a year ago and feel so lucky to have found Word Play. From our very first visit, Emily felt comfortable. She has improved so much, and she even seems more confident at school.
